Nissa Roark (Ms. Nissa) is excited to start her second year at Smith Elementary. She has over 6 years of experience working at the elementary school level and is a graduate of St. Edward’s University and Texas State, where she received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Social Work. 

Nissa believes in the power of play and importance of connection. Her office is a space where students can express themselves, learn, breathe, and grow. She is dedicated to supporting a positive campus culture where everyone feels like they belong. Nissa is looking forward to partnering with families this year and supporting students and their wellbeing!

In her free time, Nissa enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, playing with her dogs, Olive and Rooney, and visiting local coffee shops. She also enjoys spending time in nature and exploring the Texas Hill Country.
